First, from all of us at Legacy Health: Thank you. Legacy’s number one priority is the safety of our patients and staff as we fight the COVID-19 virus. Your support sends a powerful message to all Legacy employees that our community is behind their heroic efforts. This global pandemic has been challenging. But the care our teams are providing and the kindness of our community are potent reminders that we are in this together. Thank you for your partnership.

Portland couple inspired by heroic frontline providers

Mary and Ryan Finley made generous gifts to support Legacy Health and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). during the COVID-19 crisis.

“We love Portland,” Mary says, “and these gifts are from our family to our community and our health care teams risking their lives to be on the front lines.”

Innovators come together to protect our community

Local companies and other partners have joined Legacy Health’s efforts to protect our healthcare workers during the outbreak. Portland Garment Factory is making protective masks and dental equipment manufacturer A-dec is making face shields.

“This is what we should be doing,” says Scott Parrish, president and CEO of A-dec, “working together to solve problems.”

Employee gives birth after testing positive for COVID-19

Our providers are truly inspiring. Angela Primachenko, a respiratory therapist at Legacy Salmon Creek, delivered a baby girl at the hospital while in a medically induced coma after testing positive for COVID-19. When she left the ICU, the medical staff cheered and clapped. Angela and Ava are both happy and healthy.

A cheerful and loud thank you for our health care heroes

Providers and staff at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center were recently saluted by a parade of local public safety agencies. With sirens blaring, fire trucks and police cars rolled slowly through the Legacy Meridian Park campus in Tualatin, cheering providers who’d come out to watch the procession.

Clark County Fire District 6 recently honored providers at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver in the same way, with more than a half-dozen vehicles and grateful firefighters.
